My name is Pauline W. Mansfield and I’m excited that you seek knowledge about me. I call myself “The Turtle Queen” not only because I collect turtle ceramics and gifts but also because I live the life as a turtle. Let me explain.

There is an African proverb that states, “Behold The Turtle: He Makes Progress Only When He Sticks His Neck Out“. I live my life that way. Sometimes its not the swift, but the steady. By sticking my neck out and walking on Faith, I have overcome adversities, fears, and challenges. As an author, I want my books to ring that message – loudly and clearly for all to hear and apply to their own lives!

I grew up just outside Washington, D.C. and for more than 25 years I have dedicated myself to a career in Human Resources, trying to make a difference through fair treatment and by providing a listening ear to employees and managers alike.

However, creatively, I love books (and began to write) at a very early age. I’ve written poetry, prose, dabbled in short stories, then found my niche in inspirational writing. I have written two books so far. My first book was “The Turtle Story” – (AKA a journal documenting a personal domestic hurdle I overcame) which is a survival guide for women who are victims of domestic abuse. It is available on this site if you want to read it or know someone that may need to read it. My second book is “The Chess Master” which is a culmination of messages and life lessons that have been ‘delivered’ to me on and off for the last 25 years of my life.
